The number on this site is 1,000, and it refers to people. A and B Tent Rentals states its tents accommodate up to a thousand guests, which puts it in the range of a large marquee reception rather than a backyard canopy. The company also offers free in-home consultations, which is the right way to sell a tent, because the site survey is the job. Inventory covers tents, tables and chairs and dance floors. Custom lighting and heating come from the same catalogue. The service area is Westchester County and surrounding areas, with Putnam included in the stated base. The gap is the address. There is no street location published, only a county level description and a phone number. There is also no price for anything.

Nothing is priced, so the site survey quote has to carry everything. Tent quotes hide their cost in three places. Delivery and installation is one. Flooring is another, and heating or cooling is the third. Make each a separate line. Then get the tent size in feet and the layout drawing. The install and strike dates go on the same sheet, with the weather contingency and a certificate of insurance for your venue. Confirm what a last minute sidewall or heater addition costs.

The company site at aandbtent.com. It lists the inventory and the free in-home consultation. The capacity of up to 1,000 people and the Saturday hours of 9am to noon are there too. It carries no figures and no street address. Checked September 2026. First party means the business’s own site or rate card. Marketplace means The Knot, WeddingWire, Zola, Wedding Spot or similar. Nothing here is averaged or estimated.

The site gives a county and a phone number where a street address would be, and nothing more specific than that.

A thousand person capacity is a claim about the largest tent, not your tent

Capacity figures in tenting describe the biggest structure a company can put up, usually as a combination of sections. It is a useful ceiling. It is not a guide to what your wedding needs.

A seated dinner at rounds, with a dance floor and a band, needs a specific square footage. That calculation is what the consultation is for. Ask for the tent dimensions and the layout drawing in writing, rather than the guest number alone.

Which structures make up that thousand person figure is worth knowing too. A ceiling like that is normally reached by joining sections, and the number of poles inside your tent changes where the tables can go.

Heating, lighting and floors are where tent budgets go wrong

The inventory list includes custom lighting and heating alongside the tent itself. Those are not extras in Westchester. An October wedding without heaters is a cold wedding, and a tent without a lighting plan is a dark one.

Dance floors and flooring are the other line that surprises people. Settle whether the quote includes subflooring over grass, because a wet week turns an unfloored tent into a problem that no amount of planning fixes on the day. The heater count and the fuel type matter as well, since propane tanks need clearance and a venue may have rules about where they sit.

Limited Saturday hours and no address

The office keeps limited Saturday hours of 9am to noon, and closes on Sundays. For a couple doing venue visits at weekends, that narrows the window to reach a human considerably.

More significant is the missing street address. A rental company holds your deposit and shows up with a truck on a date that cannot move. Ask for the legal business name and the yard address. Proof of insurance naming your venue as additional insured is the third thing, and the delivery and strike times the fourth. Any established tent company will have all four ready.
