Extreme Music Productions works out of Ardsley and names four Westchester rooms on its own site: Glen Island Harbour Club, VIP Country Club, Le Chateau and Tappan Hill Mansion. That is a useful list, because a DJ who has already worked Glen Island knows what the water does to a ceremony sound system. The company puts its experience at more than 20 years. It also advertises custom song editing, meaning a first dance trimmed to the length you want or two tracks stitched for a parent dance. Live saxophone, violin and percussion can be layered over the set. A photo booth, uplighting and ceremony services are offered as well. None of it is priced on the site. A check on 11 September 2026 turned up no figures of any kind.

Custom song editing is a real deliverable, so put it in the contract

Editing a first dance down to two and a half minutes, or building a processional that ends exactly when the last person reaches the front, takes studio time before the wedding. The site advertises this work.

Ask how many edits are included and when the deadline for song selections falls. A late change will carry a cost, so establish that too. Listen to the edit before the day.

The same applies to the ceremony. If you want a processional that runs under a fixed length, the DJ has to build it in advance and cue it live. That is planning work, and it should appear in the contract rather than in a friendly promise on a phone call.

The hybrid sets add musicians, and musicians add cost

Saxophone, violin and percussion over a DJ set is the current default for cocktail hour in a lot of Westchester rooms. Each player is a separate fee, a separate arrival time and a separate meal.

Get the per musician price and the number of hours each one plays, rather than accepting a single entertainment total.

Venue rules matter here as well. Le Chateau and Tappan Hill Mansion both have rooms where amplified sound carries, and a percussionist behind a DJ booth changes the volume profile. Find out whether the company has run a hybrid set in your specific room and what the venue said about it.

No part of the site says what any of this costs

There is no starting rate, no package tier and no hourly figure published. The company is quote only. More than 20 years of work and four named venues make a solid record, and none of it says whether the budget fits.

When you do get a quote, check what the base covers before the extras land on top. A DJ with a booth, speakers for the reception room and a wireless microphone is usually the base. Uplighting is usually not, and nor is a second system for the ceremony, a photo booth attendant or time on the clock past midnight.

Ask for the load in time and the number of staff attending. The backup plan for a piece of gear that fails is the third thing to settle. A company with two decades of work should answer all three without hesitating.
