EP Event Group runs its live music arm out of Cortlandt Manor, and the ceiling it advertises is a 20 piece orchestra. The same page sells single vocalists, so the range on offer is wide. The company dates itself to 36 years in the tri-state area on its own site. What it does not do is publish a rate. We found no hourly figure, no package minimum and no deposit schedule. Inquiries route to one named contact, Nick Michaels, who builds a quote around whatever ensemble you pick. Lighted dance floors and intelligent lighting are sold from the same desk, which means the music line and the production line can arrive on one invoice. We read the live page, the about page and the wedding bands page on 11 September 2026.

There is no public figure here at all, so the first number you see will be a custom quote built around your ensemble size. Get it itemized. Ask for the musician count and the exact performance hours. Break coverage, the overtime rate per hour and the deposit refund terms each need a line of their own. So does any charge for lighting or a dance floor. Also check whether the quote assumes you are booking other EP Event Group services.

The live entertainment page at epeventgroup.com/live, the company about page and the wedding bands page, all read on 11 September 2026. Checked September 2026. First party means the business’s own site or rate card. Marketplace means The Knot, WeddingWire, Zola, Wedding Spot or similar. Nothing here is averaged or estimated.

Book a band here and you are booking the company that also fills the EP Event Group DJ listing, so both acts come from one supplier. No rates appear anywhere.

The size of the ensemble is the number that moves the price

A vocalist with a rhythm section and a 20 piece orchestra are both listed on the same page. Those are not comparable line items. Before you compare this vendor to any other, fix the headcount you actually want on the bandstand.

The quote should name the number of musicians and the length of the performance. It should also state the break structure and who covers music during the breaks. None of that is on the site, so it has to be settled in writing.

What the band does when it is not playing is worth settling early. Some acts bring a DJ for the breaks. Others hand the room to a playlist, and a few charge extra for either. It is a small line that shapes a full hour of your reception. Check too whether the quote includes sound for the speeches and the ceremony, since a band rig does not always cover a separate ceremony space.

One named contact, one custom quote, no rate card anywhere

Every request goes to Nick Michaels. That is useful if you want a person rather than a form, and awkward if you are trying to shortlist five bands in an evening. Budget a call.

Because nothing is posted, you cannot sanity check the first number you are given against a published figure. Ask what the quote would look like with two fewer musicians, and you at least get a slope.

The band and the DJ here are one vendor, not two

EP Event Group also runs a DJ and entertainment operation and a photo and video division from the same company. Couples who book a band and a DJ from this listing are buying from a single supplier.

That can help with coordination and it can also concentrate risk. If the company has a problem, it is your music and your film at once. Ask how staffing is assigned across divisions on a busy Saturday.
