The studio works from New York City without naming a neighborhood or a street. It does not name a price either. The full delivery timeline is missing from the site, and that is the number that matters in February when you still have nothing. Ask how many weeks until the complete gallery and how many images you should expect. What the contract says if that window slips is the third answer to get.
Find out what the sneak peek actually contains. A handful of frames the next morning is a different product from a preview gallery of a hundred, and studios use the same phrase for both. Get the count written down beside the full gallery number.
Most studios hire second shooters per job from a bench of freelancers. Working with the same named day-of assistant means the person beside the photographer already knows the workflow. Find out whether that assistant is on your date, and whether they count as a second photographer or as support. The two roles produce very different coverage.
Film is the other detail worth raising. The studio shoots film alongside digital, and film has to be developed and scanned by a lab before anyone sees it. Pin down whether film frames are included in the gallery count, and what the lab turnaround adds in weeks.
The site places the business in New York City without a specific base, and publishes nothing on cost, hours or crew size. For a Westchester wedding that leaves travel entirely unpriced. Have them set out hours and crew, with travel to your venue and overtime on their own lines. Confirm the gallery timeline in the same document.
Two Westchester venues in the portfolio is still a genuine credential. Settle which of them is closest to your room, and whether the photographer has been back since.
A studio without a published base is not a problem on its own. Plenty of photographers work from home and would rather not put the address online. It becomes an issue when travel is unpriced as well, which is the situation here.
